My Opinion About Net Neutrality

Today i am going to write about net neutrality. The topic which is trending all over world. First of all let me explain what does it mean.

As far my knowledge is concerned i think net
neutrality is nothing just a principle or a dogma
which is saying that ISP(internet service
provider) and government should treat every data
equitably and fairly

Net neutrality is also known as open internet and
net equality. We all know that open internet has
given us so many bizarre thing and we r
expecting more because it has given right that
innovators can develop products and services
without asking for any permission

In the progression of politico economics and in many other fields it has helped alot
but now it seems that net neutrality is facing so many problems from telecom operators because
they are planning to block apps and websites to extort more money from consumers
and businesses.
It is a contravention of net neutrality thats why
its becoming an issue not only in india but all
over the word.

Lets see few cases which are violating and erring the concept of neutrality in India.
I am starting
from the Airtel zero plan how does it transgress
the slant of net neutrality

India's biggest telecom company Airtel has just
launched a zero plan which will allow users to
access some apps without any charge these being apps
that have partnered with this company.

As we know that net neutrality argues that every
websites and apps should be treated and
appraised impartially and fairly.
ISPs has no right to charge differentially just
because some apps are mostly used by us
thats why Airtel is facing flak for this atrocious
step.

Here's the list of few more cases those are
passing the extremity of net neutrality.

*Aircel partnership with wikipedia:- Aircel is
allowing free access of wikipedia on mobile
phones since 2013 while other telecom company
are charging for it. Here's the question why it should be free of charge on a particularized
network

*Reliance Facebook contract for Internet.org: -
Two month ago i mean in february facebook has
divulged that they has tied up with reliance to
provide free access of internet in few selective
parts of our country where they cant afford it.it seems gratifying but it is also violating the
principle of net neutrality

*Reliance twitter and whatsapp packs:- Last year
Reliance had announced that it would grant the
free and unlimited access of twitter and
whatsapp after subscribing a pack

I know its a gigantic and great understanding but
for the sake of freebies we cant support these
steps because some how they are decimating
the dogma of net neutrality

Right now there are no restrictions of any kind
on web access,on downloading and uploading
and on communicating methods but if it happens i am sure it will create malaise in users life and
it will decrease the audience of internet which is not good in any way.
Everyone knows the importance of internet in daily life so its not the right time to talk about but If net neutrality deceases one thing is sure that the internet will cease to exist.
After that you can't imagine how hazardous it would be for our modern generation and the generations
which have to come after us.
So as a responsible citizen it is the right time to stand with net neutrality and to raise our voice in favour and in support of net neutrality and that's it
